Honor, Office Essentials, A Sconce

Earlier this month, I was delighted to receive an email from Uppercase magazine publisher Janine, saying that the Plastic Litter collage would be included in No. 33. Today, while flipping through a lo-res digital preview of the upcoming issue, I was astounded to see it was given a full page! Whoa and wowser. Above is a photo from her newsletter, with action shots of the printing process. Of course all of you are already subscribers, so I don’t even have to go on about how truly worthwhile and inspirational this publication is.

I’m about three-quarters of the way through photographing and writing instructions, kitting and listing the four or five kits that comprise the new Office Essentials line over at MMS+S. Then it will be on to the wall sconce kit, which is through prototyping, yay!

For my birthday, our water heater ruptured and flooded the under-house utility room for $1,750. Other than that rude occurrence, everything was lovely. Thank you! I’m getting back to work now!

This Business is GROWING LIKE TOPSY! It just keeps getting Bigger and Better every time you turn around. :D
LOVE your new wall sconce, Nancy; I think you’re on a Roll!!!

Thanks, Elizabeth! Am very proud of myself for releasing this set of kits as a group instead of one by one :) I’m eager to start playing with color and finishes on the sconce. It’s really pretty illuminated or not :)

Congratulations! A well deserved honor for such a creative awareness project! The Office Essentials products make my mini heart flutter – no doubt you’ll sell out fast. Our laundry room pipes once burst, four days before closing the house’s sale. Thank goodness for an excellent insurance company (Pemco) and an only $500.00 deductible! I hope you got a major water heater upgrade because of it!

    • Nancy Enge says:

Much appreciated, Jodi! I am eager to get these OE kits out there.
Can’t even imagine such a plumbing disaster when selling a house… usually it’s when you have houseguests or a big party planned :)

A well-deserved honour indeed! (The glossy magazine reproduction makes your piece look very expensive.) Hooray for new office supplies! One of the inhabitants of my dollhouse is writing a TV script and there are pages and photos simply everywhere. Sorry for your troubles – mending/replacing necessary items seems distinctly unbirthdayish. I just hope there was cake to make up for it.

I am proud and pleased, BW, about the Uppercase inclusion, especially because the production values are so high, and I love the magazine. Good to known about your writer… I’ll add some folios and photo boxes into the line :)
There will be cupcakes (again) for Maddie’s birthday this weekend :D

That desk/office set-up is amazing! And the sconce is adorable. I’m sorry about that water heater – ouch! That’s not my idea of a birthday gift. :0

    • Nancy Enge says:

Thanks, Bennie! I was thinking of making a little stamp to add a coffee mug stain to the file folders to add realism ;) I’m *really* wanting to get on to the sconces, but must finish the office kits first. And yeah, a new water heater was not really on my wish list. But hey, hot water is nice :)

Happy Belated Birthday! The new office line looks gorgeous in the orange colour! And I’m so glad you’ve made a lamp… whenever I saw your baskets I instantly thought of the Ikea lampshades. Hope all the water has been cleaned up :)

    • Nancy Enge says:

No belateds about it: I celebrate my birthday for a full month :) Thank you, Kristine!
So glad you like the new office line, and the lamp. I am eager to make them available.
The home base was quickly secured. Yay for the foresight of sump pumps! I will now include one in every build.
