Nice machine! You are in for a fun adventure! I just cut my first project from chipboard – it went so well, and changing out to the deep cutting blade was so easy! Have fun!!!
Hah, Jodi, I was just reading your blog! You got lovely results! I’m very excited to be able to design leaf variations for the succulents… However I don’t know how easy it’s going to be to peel hundreds of little shapes from the cutting mat. I guess I’ll find out :)
Yes! There is definitely an art to removing things from and cleaning the mat. I had the machine for about three days before my basic tool set arrived. I highly recommend the kit, but have also employed the back side of my exacto knife for more delicate work. It really is fun, though! I made two sets of shelves with trim and brackets today! This is a great alternative to wood, as I am trying to keep the weight down on this surprise gift for my daughter!
Yay! I received my copy of your first newsletter. Wonderful stuff! The little houses are lovely — I think I need a small glittery village for Christmas this year. I may make some little houses at my desk later today if my boss doesn’t agree that it’s my constitutional right to nap.

Castle in the Air is exactly what I’ve always wanted to find but never have. I got totally, happily lost in their paper models this morning. Absolutely brilliant.
