X is for the unknown. Here is a thing. Do you know what it is?
This is a closeup of part of the surface. Because it is amazing. And I really want to finish up my #ABChallenge with quality content before the end of the month.
Leave your answers in the comments. Anyone who posts in haiku format (5/7/5) earns A Certificate of Distinction. Puzzling begins *NOW*.
I have no idea, though it does remind me of a cane handle.
You can do better than that, Sheila. Here, I’ll fix it for you:
I’ve no idea
Though it does remind me of
A cane toad handle
You are welcome! Your answer is oddly close. (My answer is just silly :)
Spring meadow frolics,
Gardening and long beach walks,
Picking up dropped things.
I wish it was true
But a picker-upper thing,
Though good, is not this.
Kay, again, oddly, your answer is part of the bigger picture answer. Picker-upper thingies are fun and useful, and an oft-recommended adjunct to this particular X.
Flexibility
and mobility regained
was my haiku’s aim.
Kay has got it right.
Those swirly formations are
Bedrock for new joints!
a silvery sea
waiting for some pirate bones
seen from out space
Those who love haiku
Can frame the long view, and short
Pirate bones settle
Gleaming spacecraft bit
Falling through dark starry sky
I identified
I like the gleaming
And falling, and starlit skies
Intensifying
Metal improvement
Sing resistance is futile
Assimilated
Debate improvement
And I will elaborate
On the resistance
Handle of a knife?
The grip of a new golf club?
Texture is a grip.
A golf club, you say
If by golf clubs you might mean
Leg apparatus
A toy tightly wound
Must continue its clatter
Until it runs down
vibrant living cells
bonding advancing meshing
with titanium
stronger together
metal and bone return peace
to long walks on beach
a transformation
of bright metal and sinew
life begins anew
But who knew
pending cyborgs
love haiku?
I knew.
tight tangles en masse
twisty swirling writhing knots
looks like ramen soup
a certificate
of distinction perhaps should
be one of excess
time zones behind you
allow multiple effort
awaiting response
deep caverns for growth
hide behind shiny surface
cell exploration
science is brilliance
calm art of method and test
freedom gained for all
regeneration
restoration revival
reanimation
patiently waiting
titanium spaghetti
to become alive
I know that you knew
What a wonderland revealed
Spaghetti poet
Be of great care for
I am sharp and like to slice
Could I be a knife
Oh, knives are involved
I do not care to say more
Hyperventilate
Haiku is not me
Assimilation for you
Walk jump bend happy
Assimilation
For me, haiku is for all
I’m eyes on the prize
looks like a handle
and yet I can not say which
but that it’s unhitched
Perception is keen
And these are not often seen
As it should have been
Comments here just wow-ee man!
I’m no poet but I’ll try my hand
A walking stick by chance?
Walking stick, indeed
But make the stick be plural
Two legs by design
I did not know the
Answer, but I see now the
Logic of its mess.
Creative minds turn
Surgical necessity
Into poetry.
Haiku discipline
Suggests seeing the essence
Of the thing that’s there
So glad I came to the party late. I’m Haiku challenged (for lack of trying probably) but I really enjoyed reading everyone’s responses.
