Carrying On, A Maker’s Dream

Practically like Stonehenge — I imagine — establishing where the deck posts might go.

After the interesting maths of determining (and re-determining) the height of the stair stringers, I cut the posts for the deck surround.

Surprisingly more complicated and variable.
I tipped over a pot of yucca before the glue was set.

Best of all, I received an email from a woman who’d purchased a couple of yucca tree kits from my Etsy shop. She posted a lovely video of her results and I could not be more impressed or surprised. Do check it out.

Yes, I love angieaug’s videos and had planned to order a kit for my conservatory! I guess I didn’t realize it was YOUR kit! I love seeing your progress and how beautiful your miniatures are.

Thanks so much Michelle! I was so impressed with angieaug’s videos, and delighted that one of my kits could be an inspiration for her. I’m in development on new smaller and thinner leaf variations, so if you do order a yucca tree kit, I’ll include some prototype leaves to play with.

I love the deck. I also love wood looks like some built-in corner seats maybe window seats? You’re very cute. I’m going to be a little left inside to?

    • Nancy Enge says:

Thanks, Bennie. As I type the deck is already transforming to its intended base of an outdoor room and welcoming entrance.
Not sure I follow the rest of your message, except yes! built-in corner window seats with soft black leather upholstery; and the cute observation, which I really am not :)
      I suspect spellcheck or autocorrect.

LOL, I spoke into my device and was not wearing my glasses so the words had a few typos in it. I meant the built-ins in the corner seats are cute and that you are cute. Not that you aren’t cute but my words get a little misinterpreted.
