Thanks, Joyce! The newspaper is a printed front page from Paper Minis http://www.paperminis.com, glued to a little stack of thin newsprint pages and then… crumpled and blown under the pavilion :)
Is this”wonderment” displayed outdoors? The background is life-size? This is the most incredible creation I have seen of late. I am an outdoor person myself, incorporating natural scenery/gardens to existing rooms. You are a natural!!
Thank you, Janna. There are two four-inch wide strips of landscaping on either side of the pavilion, inspired by my coastal Northern Californian location. Most of the photos were taken outdoors, and you can see the hills, trees and sky beyond the base, which measures 20 x 26 inches. I like the way it the blurs the boundaries between real life and scale model :)
How clever and detailed you are…how did you manage the crumpled newspaper?
